SpeakOut™ with Advocatr® 1.0.7

SpeakOut™ with Advocatr® is a newly launched application designed to enhance the ability of middle school students to advocate for their own and their peers’ physical and emotional well-being within the school environment. It seeks to foster a positive and trusting atmosphere, encouraging open communication between students and staff.

In addition to empowering students, the app also aims to assist middle school teachers in cultivating non-punitive and restorative environments. This approach encourages students to feel safe when sharing concerns, while also ensuring that staff respond in a constructive manner to those concerns.

This initiative has received support from the Institute of Education Sciences, U.S. Department of Education, through Grant R305A210071 awarded to the University of Oregon.
